The Salamander Video Comeback
Ah, the saga of the Sad Salamanders and their video or their rockin’ (or is that, jazzin’) tune “My Parents Are Swingers.” Just to recap: The Salamanders are this awesome group that reached out to me back around February wondering if I would give their new CD “Cigarettes and Fishnets” a listen. I am always open for free stuff, so I said yes. Turns out, the CD is awesome and I have raved about them ever since and done everything I can to promote the hell out of the thing and get everyone to listen. One of the things they did was post a video for the first song off of the CD on YouTube. For some reason, about a week or so ago, YouTube decided to remove the video for reasons that are, at best, murky.
Well, fan of the Sad Salamanders, you ever-growing legions, the good news is that you cannot keep a Salamander, sad or otherwise, down. There is also the fact that there are now more places you can post videos than just YouTube. So, without further ado, here is where the video is in the words of the Salamanders’ fearless leader, Scooter Pietsch:
“After being banned from YouTube, Sad Salamanders’ video “My Parents Are Swingers” is back and itching to be watched. How YouTube thinks it can continue its streak of overwhelming popularity and NOT broadcast clumsy, black & white footage of strippers from the 1950’s set to an infectious modern bachelor pad soundtrack, utterly confounds me.
Set your cursors to stun and steer towards these coordinates of pure joy.

Thanks for listening - and watching!

Head Salamander”
I believe with the Yahoo one, I can embed the video, but I would rather you click on the links and visit the video that way. Really crank up those hit numbers and let the folks at YouTube wonder what the hell they did wrong, OK?
The video is a helluva lot of fun, so is the song, so is the CD, so what the hell are you doing still reading this thing? Go listen to some Sad Salamanders.
