I have been so focused, for so long, on just trying to find stories about the jazz and blues genres I am supposed to be writing about, I have not really linked you all to the very cool things other people are doing at the music channel of b5media. Check out that blogroll there at the right side of my page. See all of those links?

Each one is someone just like me and just as passionate about their particular genre of music. In fact, some of them put me to shame. There are those who post 3 or 4 times a day. I prefer to stick to a one-a-day schedule, but that’s because, generally speaking, not much changes from day to day in the jazz and blues world.

Well, one of my fellow bloggers is having a contest and it is a very cool contest and I hope you don’t mind if I diverge from talking about Sad Salamanders and Miles Davis and point you to it. You only have until May 25th to enter and you can win a $25 iTunes Gift Card.

Click right HERE for the contest along with the rules and the place to enter. The blog is called “Crooner Culture.” Hey, folks, it’s $25 and as much music as you can download for that amount.

Perhaps one of these days I will manag to get my stuff together enough to have a contest or giveaway of my own. I probably should make sure I know the proper rules for giving away stuff and then find some cool prizes first. I doubt an empty can of peaches or a used nail clipper would really appeal to anyone.

Post from: Jazz & Blues Lounge

More Contests and Stuff

Chicago

blues

contest

jazz

b5media

blogging

contests

music

prizes

teddy-bears

writing

I always have mixed feelings when I am asked to post about these kinds of things. This is supposed to be a blog about jazz, but there are times when business has to come first. Then check back here soon and maybe you can learn something new about some jazz artist you had never heard of all over again.

All Poker Addicts – Win some great gear from the World Poker Tour -
http://www.allpokeraddicts.com/blog-contest-win-wpt-gear

Hockey Beat – Win a Vermont Teddy Bear Company hockey bear, makes for
a great holiday gift ($75 value) –

http://www.hockeybeat.com/win-a-hockey-bear-with-a-funny-caption

Rackets and Balls – Win a Vermont Teddy Bear Company tennis bear,
makes for a great holiday gift ($75 value) –

http://www.racketsandballs.com/contest/

Cool prizes and a little bit of fun. If you happen to mention to them that you saw those links on this blog and how much you appreciate the Jazz and Blues Lounge, well, who am I to stop you?

Post from: Jazz & Blues Lounge

What Happens in Vegas, Ends up Being Blogged About

Bands

Chicago

blues

jazz

media

records

Blog-World-Expo

contests

gambling

Las-Vegas

music

poker

prizes

Vegas

So, it seems that there is some kind of big BlogFest or something coming up in the first part of November. OK, technically it is called Blog World Expo and it is November 7th, 8th, and 9th. The folks who bring you this blog and other outstanding b5media blogs are going to be having an entire day devoted to them there and they would like those of us who are blogging for them to talk about it. We have one that you can put up now and then I will send out updated ones throughout the conference that you can put up on your blog so that attendees will keep going back to your blog to be able to get more chips. Participants only need to approach someone in our booth with the password and they will get a token.
