Checking Into the Velvet Lounge

The Velvet Lounge, as I have mentioned before, is one of the best places in all of Chicago to see jazz played live.  It is jut the quintessential jazz club.  It’s small and the stage is really just one end of the place.  The place used to be smokey before Chicago messed with the smoking laws.  The musicians are close enough to touch.

While In Vegas…

The posting from yesterday about the Las Vegas blogging event, got me wondering about what kind of jazz clubs there are in Vegas.  Given how they have entire casinos based on various themes, I am surprised they don’t have an entire casino devoted to Jazz.
