Can you believe it’s July 15 already? I know, I keep harping on how fast things are flying this year, or every year, but it’s so true. It seems like just yesterday that everyone was complaining about how brutal the winter was and I was slipping and falling on the ice while trying to get into my car. Now, it’s brutally hot and there are severe thunderstorms every other day and everyone is complaining about the heat.

The summer is speeding past like a speeding bullet. Nothing makes that slow down just a little bit more than a cool jazz or blues album or tune to add to your collection. I do not have a record player myself, but when I worked at the jazz radio station, we would sometimes get the tunes on vinyl. I actually learned how to cue up a record just like the old-time DJs. I can’t believe how fast this year has gone so far. I cannot believe it is now summer and we are almost in the month of July. Who the heck hit the Fast-Forward button on my life and why didn’t they bother to tell me about it? Well, you have made it to another Tuesday. I am starting to feel like there has been a definite switch from Jazz to Blues around here lately. Ah, Tuesday, it’s such a lovely day. Seldom does Tuesday get much respect. People have football on Monday and they love to complain about it.
