Surviving the Deep Freeze
The weather for the Chicago area calls for the coldest weekend of the winter so far. When I last saw a weather man talking about Saturday the guy was saying that the high temperature will be 6 degrees. Yes, that is a six and not a 16.
It’s tough during this time of year, especially in the Chicago area and other Midwestern towns. The warm and fuzzy feelings of the holidays are over and now it’s just cold and gray. Personally, I love winter, so it doesn’t bother me, but even I have my limits.
It’s the perfect time to try and get out of the house and see some live music. However cold it may be outside, a nice cramped, darkened blues or jazz club will likely be warm. So, once again, thanks to WDCB radio for providing me with a list of jazz and blues events this weekend in the Chicago area.
