You have to love speciality record stores.  I also love a place where you can still buy jazz records.  I mean real records.  I mean things pressed out of vinyl and with grooves in it that you have to put on a turntable and then place a needle.  There is just something cool about jazz listened to on vinyl.  A lot of the jazz from the era I love the most was designed to be listened to on vinyl.  That’s why, in my dreams, I have a classic jazz radio station that operates on the AM dial…  *sigh*

OK, sorry, I got all nostalgic there and now I need to suddenly stop the car and switch gears.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce you to a very cool Chicago jazz record label.  This is a place where you NEED go to if you want to add to your jazz or blues collection.  It is called Delmark Records.

They have a cool site that appears to be updated fairly regularly.  They have a large selection of new music and re-issues.  They also have links to places where you can find their music if your local music store no longer exists or doesn’t carry their catalog. 

The record label is located on Rockwell Road in Chicago.  You can contact them directly if you want to look into purchasing their music.
