Checking Into the Velvet Lounge
The Velvet Lounge, as I have mentioned before, is one of the best places in all of Chicago to see jazz played live. It is jut the quintessential jazz club. It’s small and the stage is really just one end of the place. The place used to be smokey before Chicago messed with the smoking laws. The musicians are close enough to touch.
With the Thanksgiving holiday upon us (how can that be? Didn’t we just have Thanksgiving about two weeks ago? Where did this year go?) it might be time to check out some cool jazz at a great club. You can also check out their website by clicking here and seeing their address and other cool stuff.
The shows start at 7:30 every night and the doors open at 7 p.m.
