The B5Media network:

B.B King in Town Tonight

Well, I guess with the problems trying to get back to Chicago this week coupled with the issues the server was having with the various b5media blogs, I kind of missed a key performer in my chosen beat here in Chicago.  That would be, of course, the legendary B. B. King who is playing tonight in the northern suburb of Waukegan at the relatively new Genesee Theater.

Sadly, had I been more aware of this, I could have warned you well ahead of time and you might have been able to get tickets and great seats.  As of right now, though, I have no idea if there are still tickets availabe or not.

You can check out everything you could possibly want to know about the theater by clicking HERE.  It says on the website that tickets are still available, but I have no idea if that is to be believed or not.  What I do know is that, sadly, our chances of getting to see B.B. are probably getting less and less every year.  He’s an amazing man to watch live.

The trek to Waugekan is quite a haul as well.  It is well north of the city, but I think it would be worth it for this show.  According to the site tickets are $39.50 and $49.50.  The show starts at 8 p.m.  I am assuming you can purchase tickets at the door.

So, if you have no plans, this might be a great show for you to check out.  Get out tonight, before the deep freeze starts.  The high on Sunday is forecast to be all of 3 degrees.  Yes, that is the actual temperature.  Even jazz and bues clubs may start to freeze up at that temp.
